Gone.  by Richard Beaven, edited by Siân Davey.

Gone. creates a bridge between two distant times and places, articulating the feelings I could not find the words for as a child.

In the 1970s English suburbs my eleven-year-old world was shattered when my father abruptly abandoned the family, leaving a wake of anger and resentment.

Forty-five years later, prompted by a roadside discovery near my current home in the Hudson Valley, NY, I revisit the buried emotions from that earlier time.

Throughout the five year period spent making the series, I worked with photographer Siân Davey as a mentor and editor of the final book sequence.
